IEA's Dodgeball Tournament is just around the corner! It will take place next week on Friday, March 1, 2013. We would love to see your club come out and raise money for charity.

Dodgeball teams consist of 8 players who must play on the same team for the entire tournament. The only exception for a sub-in is if a player gets injured. These teams do not have to be co-ed. To REGISTER YOUR TEAM please email with your team name and verify that you have 8 people.

International Veterinary Forensics Sciences Association

Hey all - this was just forwarded to me.  For those of you interested in veterinary forensics it may be of interest and you may want to consider starting an SGU Chapter.

The International Veterinary Forensic Sciences Association

1).  Promote the health, welfare and safety of animals through the
fostering of current, new, and novel techniques of forensic science and
crime scene processing to circumstances of animal abuse, neglect, cruelty,
fighting, and death.
2).  Apply forensic science techniques to legal investigations
involving animals as the victim of criminal offenses and civil disputes.
3).  Educate the animal welfare community, law enforcement, crime
scene analysts, forensic scientists, veterinarians, attorneys, judges, and
pathologists on the application of forensic science techniques and crime
scene processing methods to cases of animal abuse, neglect, cruelty,
fighting, and death.
4).  Inform the law enforcement and legal community on the various
scientific disciplines that can be utilized for the interpretation of
collected  physical evidence related to any crime scene where an animal's
presence or absence is relevant.
5).  Advance and foster excellence in the veterinary forensic sciences.

Join us in Orlando, Florida in May of 2013 for the IVFSA (along with the

engaging and educational presentations, there will be ample time to

The University of Florida's online graduate certificate program in
Veterinary Forensic Sciences is comprised of five 3-credit courses and is
provided by the University of Florida, College of Veterinary Medicine in
partnership with the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to
Animals (ASPCA).  The unique nature of this program is because of its
emphasis on the application of forensic science and medicine to veterinary
medicine and animal related crimes including animal cruelty cases.  Please
to learn more.  I have taken 3 out of the 5 courses so far so if you'd
like personal insight into the program, financials, and/or specific
